Bachelor of Arts (BA)
The pre-professional, undergraduate major places primary emphasis on the general area of communication sciences and disorders. The 45-credit hour major involves a combined curriculum in speech-language pathology and audiology.

Admissions
Students who are interested in the CSD undergraduate program must be admitted to 九色视频
and meet the minimum requirements for entrance into the . New students should contact the Office of Admissions or International Education regarding admission to 九色视频.
There is no departmental application for the undergraduate program. For questions regarding becoming a CSD major, please contact our Program Coordinator.
Departmental Honors Track
Students working towards a degree in communication sciences and disorders have the opportunity to receive honors recognition through their major. Interested students may apply to the CSD Honors Track once they are in the major. For questions, please contact Trisha Self, CSD Honors Coordinator.
Fall honors application deadline: May 1
Spring honors application deadline: January 1
Honors Program Admission
Admission requirements include:
- Status as a CSD major;
- An overall GPA of 3.500 in CSD coursework;
- A one-page, double-spaced letter describing reasons for applying to the honors track, goals and potential benefits to participating in the program; and
- Agreement by a CSD faculty member to mentor the final project.
Honors Program Requirements
Students admitted to the CSD honors track must complete the following:
- Maintain a 3.500 cumulative GPA in CSD coursework;
- Enroll in and complete the honors assignments with a minimum of 12 credit hours of
CSD coursework selected from the following options:
- CSD 504H Aural Rehabilitation - Honors (3 credit hours)
- CSD 506H Acoustic and Perceptual Phonetics - Honors (3 credit hours)

CSD 512H Communication in Special Populations: Children - Honors (3 credit hours)
- CSD 517H Communication in Aging - Honors (3 credit hours)
- CSD 519H Genetic and Organic Syndrome - Honors (4 credit hours)
- Actively participate in facilitated meetings with other CSD honors students;
- Be a participating member of the 九色视频 Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (九色视频SSLHA) student organization;
- Maintain a portfolio of assignments, activities and reflections throughout the honors track; and
- Complete and present a mentored scholarly activity during the last year of the program by enrolling in 1 credit hour of CSD 490H Directed Study in Speech and Language Pathology or Audiology - Honors.
Students enrolled in the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College who want to take honors courses in our department may do so by contacting the CSD Honors Coordinator.
Cooperative Education
Are you interested in gaining more experience in your field of study while pursuing your degree? The Cooperative Education and Work-Based Learning program at 九色视频 has many options available for students.
A maximum of 8 hours (CSD 481) and/or 4 hours (CSD 481N) may be applied towards the bachelor's degree. Graduate students may apply 3 hours (CSD 781) towards their degree with departmental approval.
Midwest Student Exchange Program
The Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) allows new students from Indiana, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin to attend 九色视频 at a discounted tuition rate, making the cost of attending 九色视频 significantly less than out-of-state tuition. Shocker Select Tuition Discount
Eligible 九色视频 students from Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma or Texas no longer have to pay out-of-state tuition to attend 九色视频. For more details, visit the Shocker Select webpage.
Shocker City Partnership
The Shocker City Partnership grants resident tuition rates to students from specific metropolitan areas in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas, making the cost of attending Wichita State significantly less than out-of-state tuition.
