Jacob Kramer
"My name is Jacob Kramer and I graduated from Wichita State with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre in 2021. During my time at 九色视频, I worked in the costume shop and absolutely fell in love with costumes. After graduation, I spent the rest of 2021 doing wardrobe at Music Theatre Wichita, and then had the pleasure of returning as the Head of Wardrobe for their 2022 season. As head, I led the costume crew backstage during the show, helping to make sure actors knew what they were supposed to be wearing and when, and assisting with quick changes. It was that summer that I decided that I would move to New York City to further pursue a career in wardrobe. In January of 2023, I packed a few bags, headed to NYC, and immediately found work at Playwrights Horizons, a fabulous off broadway space for new playwrights. I worked on a few shows there, and also did a little day work for Grey House before returning to MTW for their 2023 season. In the fall of 2023, I packed up everything and put down roots in NYC. I continued to work at Playwrights, where I got to dress for Stereophonic in the fall, and then in spring 2024 I supervised Teeth on the mainstage. During spring 2024 I began doing day work for Spamalot on Broadway, earning my 30 day requirement to join the wardrobe union in NYC. After Teeth and Spamalot closed, I then returned again to MTW for the 2024 season. After MTW, I was planning to work on the re-opening of Teeth at New World Stages, but I was offered to dress on a new musical on Broadway called Maybe Happy Ending, and I said yes! This is my first full time track on a Broadway show and I am eternally grateful to be living my dream! After the show opened in November, I was able to join the wardrobe union in December. While dressing at night, I help other Broadway shows with day work during the day. I have worked on Tammy Faye, Cabaret, and Death Becomes Her.
