Join 九色视频's Assistant Educator of Clarinet, Rachelle Goter, as she takes the stage with a dynamic lineup of talented musicians for an afternoon of engaging chamber music. The recital will be held on Sunday, March 9, at 3 p.m. in Wiedemann Hall.

Goter, a passionate and versatile clarinetist known for her emotionally resonant performances, will be joined by the Emouvant String Quartet, featuring Timothy Jones, Ramiro Miranda, Cindy Cook, and Susan Mayo, as well as her husband, trumpeter Bret Goter. The program includes Nino Rota's Trio for Clarinet, Cello, and Piano, with guest artists Leonid Shukaev and Jamie Knight.

A highlight of the afternoon will be the premiere of Vibrations in Orange, a sextet for string quartet, clarinet, and trumpet composed by Christian Ellenwood in honor of Rachelle's father, Johnie Boling. This special tribute piece promises to be a heartfelt and unforgettable addition to the program, with the composer himself in attendance.

The recital will also feature two original works by Susan Mayo. One, composed specifically for Goter, pairs clarinet and string quartet, while the other, a Clarinet Quintet, was previously performed for inmates at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility.

Beyond the stage, Goter’s career is distinguished by her dedication to music education and her role as a principal clarinetist with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and the Wichita Grand Opera. She has inspired many through her performances and clinics across the U.S. and abroad, earning accolades and recognition for her contributions to the arts.
