About Shocker Social Work
We are proud of our long-standing social work presence at Wichita State. The BSW program was initiated in 1967 by Edward H. Tuttle whose fierce devotion to social work and his legacy with our program is more than a simple memory of his contributions to community services. The BSW Program was accredited in 1974, and the MSW program was accredited in 2003.Our programs both fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
As part of the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences our curriculum is designed to develop generalist and advanced generalist social workers for practice within the region, state, and beyond.
We are SHOCKER PROUD of our students, alumni, faculty, and campus community! For more information, email socialwork@wichita.edu.
