About Sankofa
While in West Africa, a young model named Mona (Oyafunmike Ogunlano) encounters an old mystic and gets transported into the past where she is enslaved on a plantation. See the for additional resources to read before and after the film. The film Sankofa is currently available on Netflix for viewing if you are unable to attend the free film screening on Sunday, Feb. 20.
