Experiential Learning Passport helps PA students become service-learning leaders
The Experiential Learning Passport course offers PA students real-world experience
in research, professional development, community service, interprofessional education,
and leadership. Students earn credits through engaging in various curricular and extra-curricular
activities.
Students support the community through events like PA Community Service Day, Operation
Wellness, KIDS Network Community Baby Shower, vaccine clinics, Lord's Diner, ICT street,
and more, learning to meet the needs of the whole patient.
Students also collaborate with other healthcare professionals in activities such as
the Interprofessional Evidence-Based Practice workshop, TeamSTEPPS, Autism Interdisciplinary
Diagnostic Team, Homeless Veteran Simulation and PA Day with dental residents and
hygienists.
