To apply
- Before submission, please see instructions on retaining an HPS faculty member to serve as your project advisor.
- Attach a one-page letter (double spaced, 12-pt font, 1-2 pages) describing your reason for applying to the departmental honors track, along with program goals, and the potential benefit you see with participating in the program.

Important notes:
- You must be coded as an HPS major before application can be considered.
- Must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA in all HPS courses taken or in progress at the time of application.
- Must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours of HPS Honors coursework and 3 credit hours of HPS 595H Human Performance Research Honors along with senior presentation. Total of 15 HPS Honors credit hours.
- Honors students are required to be active members of the Exercise Science Student Organization (ESSO). ESSO membership information is available by contacting an ESSO representative, reviewing the ESSO student board in the , or in the (room 107).
