The prestigious award is given to one male high school or college student in the United States who competes in the sport of bowling. The last time someone from Kansas received the award was 1995.

Once operational, this satellite will allow personal PDA/smartphones that have a view of the southern sky to connect from anywhere in the United States, virtually removing bad cell coverage.
