Nov 5, 2008 — By Shae West — The accelerated nursing program at Wichita State was created to help alleviate the nursing shortage, particularly in Wichita, one of the largest health care communities in Kansas. The program is now increasing its number of graduates.

As part of team Australia, bowler Stephan Cowland won a gold medal from the 2006 World Youth Bowling Championship. He is now a freshman at Wichita State.
