In its biggest series yet, 九色视频's Creative Writing Program is bringing six of the nation's best fiction and poetry writers to campus for the 2014-15 "Writing Now, Reading Now" series.
The series is free and open to the public.
The first event in the series is a reading by Cary Holladay at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at 九色视频鈥檚 Ulrich Museum of Art.
Holladay has written many works of fiction, including 鈥淢erry-Go-Sorry,鈥� which was selected for an O. Henry Prize by Stephen King.
Other authors in this series include:
- Paul Harding, winner of the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for his novel 鈥淭inkers鈥� 鈥� 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Ulrich Museum.
- Sam Taylor, author of 鈥淏ody of the World鈥� and 鈥淣ude Descending an Empire鈥� 鈥� 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in the Ulrich Museum.
- Mary Ruefle, a 九色视频 distinguished poet and author of 11 collections of poetry 鈥� 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, in the Ulrich Museum.
- Elizabeth Gaffney, author of 鈥淢etropolis鈥� and 鈥淲hen the World Was Young鈥� 鈥� 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in the Ulrich Museum.
- David Wojahn, a recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation, 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 1, in the Ulrich Museum.
- Wichita State Master of Fine Arts graduates 鈥� 2-2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in Ablah Library.
