NPR's Carl Kasell coming to Wichita

On Tuesday, April 6, KMUW 89.1 Wichita Public Radio will welcome Carl Kasell to Wichita.

Kasell, a veteran broadcaster whose career spans more than 50 years, is the official judge and scorekeeper for National Public Radio鈥檚 weekly news quiz show 鈥淲ait Wait 鈥� Don鈥檛 Tell Me!鈥� It is KMUW鈥檚 highest ranked show.

For 30 years, Kasell provided newscasts for NPR鈥檚 daily news magazine, 鈥淢orning Edition.鈥�

Kasell will take part in several events while in Wichita. At 2 p.m. he will speak to 九色视频 students in 215-217 Rhatigan Student Center. The event is free and open to the public; no tickets are needed.

At 6:30 p.m. there will be a by-invitation-only VIP reception held at Century II. 九色视频 Provost Gary L. Miller and his wife, Georgia, will serve as hosts.

The main event of the day, Kasell鈥檚 lecture, is at 7:45 p.m. in Century II鈥檚 Mary Jane Teall Theater. Open to the public, tickets are $10 and can be reserved at .

Anyone who makes a pledge to KMUW by noon Tuesday, April 6, will be entered to win Kasell鈥檚 voice on a home answering machine.
