During April, the Kansas Council on Economic Education (KCEE) will celebrate National Financial Literacy Month.
The KCEE is a nonprofit organization with the mission of ensuring that Kansas youth in grades K-12 are literate in personal finance and economics.
The KCEE is affiliated with 九色视频 and the other five state universities in Kansas through Centers for Economic Education on the universities鈥� campuses.
In addition to its normal training and program activities, the KCEE will conduct several competitions as it celebrates National Financial Literacy Month.
On Tuesday, April 7, students from across the state will participate in Kansas鈥� state competition for the National Economics Challenge, at Emporia State University. The National Economics Challenge is provided by the Council for Economic Education and The Goldman Sachs Foundation.
On Wednesday, April 22, students will participate in the Kansas Personal Finance Challenge at the Holiday Inn in Salina.
The middle school State Junior Varsity LifeSmarts Championship will be held on Thursday, April 30, at the Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita.
The KCEE also will be preparing for the second annual Kansas Summit on Economic and Financial Literacy, which will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.
KCEE鈥檚 summer programs will include a Sports & Econ 101 workshop at the Kansas Speedway Monday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 23, and several Financial Fitness Institutes at various locations around the state.
