WRRS Mini Golf Masters Tournament set for Sept. 25

This year Mini Golf Masters players will don their creative and often elaborate costumes a month earlier than in past years as they head to the putt-putt course to show their support for people in the Wichita community living with visual impairments.

Wichita Radio Reading Service, a public service of KMUW, will hold its 9th Annual Mini Golf Masters Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 25. Tee time is set for 10 a.m. at All Star Adventures, 1010 N. Webb Road.

The Mini Golf Masters is unique from other golf tournaments in that players of all ages and skill sets are encouraged to tap in to their inner golf personalities, as opposed to putting too heavy of an emphasis on displaying their skills as a golfer.

The Mini Golf Masters brings companies, families and friends together for a highly entertaining event.

Sierra Scott will serve as emcee for the tournament.

Registration for a team of four is $100. Participants will compete for a chance to win individual and team prizes. A team will be selected as the best dressed, so participants are encouraged to be creative in their costume choice and team name.

To register, go to and select the WRRS tab.

Deadline for team registrations is Friday, Sept. 3. Registrations made after are first come first served.
