Reminders, deadlines and events

* The Housing and Residence Life central office will be closed for staff development from 3-5 p.m. today (Thursday, June 14). Staff will continue to be available at the front desks of both Shocker Hall and The Flast at 九色视频 to assist with housing inquiries as needed during this time.

* KMUW is offering free year-at-a-glance calendar stickers for the 2018-19 academic year to 九色视频 staff and faculty. To request a calendar sticker for yourself or several to share with your department, call 978-6789 or send an email to info@kmuw.org and include the number of calendars you'd like along with your campus box number.

* Summertime is for writing! Join fellow faculty for a short onsite writing retreat Wednesday, June 27 to Friday, June 29, in 300 Clinton Hall. For more information and sign up, click on Summer Writing Retreat at https://wsu.news/writingretreat. Refreshments and lunch provided daily.

* The University is again offering a scholarship for employees who are interested in taking a badge course as a nondegree bound student. To receive the scholarship, employees must submit a completed Badge Interest Form at https://wsu.news/badgeintform, and be admitted and enrolled by Sept. 14, 2018. Please note application fees and badge tuition will appear on your record until the scholarship is processed and credited to your student account.

* The University Bookstore is having a sale for all the dads in your life, just in time for Father's Day! This week, take 20 percent off any "Dad" specific Shocker gear in-store.

* Juneteenth festivities will take place throughout the week of Saturday, June 16-Saturday, June 23, at the historic McAdam's Park and Recreation Center, with the exception of the Wichita Natural Hair Expo. Attendees must have a Juneteenth wristband to attend any of the events. Wristbands will be available for purchase in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion located in 208 RSC. * Don't miss the opportunity to learn more about the exciting progress of five local startups in your community! Businesses will showcase their product / service in a Trade Show format from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, in the Experiential Engineering Building. Presentations from each business accompanies this event. Admission is free, with food and drink provided.
