2018 updated Kansas Employment Forecast released
In 2018, Kansas total nonfarm employment is forecast to increase by 9,047 jobs, with an anticipated growth rate of 0.6 percent.
The service sector is expected to grow at the fastest rate in the state, adding over 8,000 jobs for 1.2 percent employment growth. The production sector is forecast to remain flat, while the trade, transportation and utilities sector is projected to add over 700 jobs, expanding 0.3 percent.
