Employees should take advantage of the badge course scholarship before applying for tuition assistance for the badge course. There is a limit of one scholarship per person.

* You're invited to KMUW's 11th annual "Fill Your Mug!" listener appreciation party from 5-8 p.m. today (Friday, May 25) at The Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island. * The best high school track and field athletes from across Kansas will be at Wichita State for the State Track & Field Meet today (Friday, May 25) and Saturday, May 26, in Cessna Stadium. Events begin at 8 a.m. and continue into the evening both days. The meet is sponsored by the Kansas State High School Athletic Association. Go to https://wsu.news/statehstrack2018 for more information.

* In an effort to align the Wichita State tuition assistance program to the KBOR Strategic Plan (Foresight 2020), changes are being made to the program beginning with the fall 2018 semester. With the changes, eligibility will expand for dependents, and employees and dependents will have more flexibility in how they use the tuition assistance benefit. The application forms have also been consolidated, so there is now only one form for employee, spouse and dependents. A side-by-side comparison of the changes is available at https://wsu.news/tuitionassist. For questions, please contact tuitionassistance@wichita.edu.

* If you are curious and would like to learn more about the purpose, use and difference between the retention tools the university has in place, plan to attend the Retention Tools Workshop at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, in the 142 RSC. We will talk about the Student Early Alert System (SEAS), the Student Success Collaborative (SSC) and the At-Risk Report, which all exist to help us reach our enrollment goals. This is an informational workshop only. No RSVP necessary. For more information, contact Kim Sandlin at kim.sandlin@wichita.edu.

Complete the form at https://wsu.news/academeform to report activities, research, accomplishments / awards, presentations and publications for Academe.

* Plan to attend an all-campus party, Shockin' Fun Friday, hosted by Student Affairs, from 3-5 p.m. Friday, June 1, in the RSC east courtyard.
