* The director of Student Conduct and Community Standards is responsible for protecting the rights, safety and well-being of members of the campus learning, working and living environment. Candidate Steven Smith will meet with faculty / academic affairs staff from 10:15-11:15 a.m. today (Thursday, May 10) in 313 RSC. The campus community is invited to hear his open presentation from 1:15-2 p.m. today (Thursday, May 10) in 319 RSC.

* You are invited to a retirement come-and-go reception for Rick DeMoss from 3-5 p.m. today (Thursday, May 10) in the Beggs Hall lobby. DeMoss is an engineering facilities and technical services manager who will retire on May 18 after 20 years of service.

* Are you interested in learning more about design patents? Join us for a virtual presentation by Supervisory Patent Examiner Garth Rademaker with the USPTO from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, May 11) in 217 Ablah Library. It's free and open to the public. * Final grading for spring 2018 courses is open. Faculty can access the Banner 9 grading form via the Teach / Advise tab in the my九色视频 portal. Grades for any spring course can be entered during this grading period. Grades are due by 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 15. A grading email with further details was sent to faculty and staff who are flagged as eligible instructors in Banner. Questions about grading can be directed to the Office of the Registrar at 978-3090.

* The offices of Academic Affairs and Student Success will host an informational meeting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, in 265 RSC, for faculty interested in developing and teaching a First-Year Seminar course in spring 2019 and fall 2019. Attend the meeting to find out about the history of First-Year Seminar, expectations of the courses, support available for developing and teaching a course and hear advice from current instructors.
