KCEE receives $10,000 grant from Kansas Masonic Foundation

The Kansas Council for Economic Education (KCEE) has received a $10,000 grant from the Kansas Masonic Foundation on behalf of Kansas Masons for its youth economic and financial literacy initiatives. The KCEE is a nonprofit organization that is affiliated with all of Kansas' six public universities and hosted by the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 九色视频.

The vision of the KCEE is that every K-12 student in Kansas will become economically and financially literate so they will be more knowledgeable consumers, wiser savers and investors, better employees and more responsible citizens. In order to reach as many students as possible, the mission of the KCEE is to equip teachers to teach economics and personal finance. The KCEE provides teacher training, curriculum resources and programs and competitions that engage students through experiential learning and practical applications of knowledge.

The KCEE's highly regarded programs and competitions include "The Stock Market Game," "Lifesmarts," "Financial Foundations for Kids," the "Kansas Personal Finance Challenge," the "Kansas Economics Challenge" and the "Kansas Economics Poster Contest."

The KCEE reaches more than 100,000 students through more than 1,000 teachers throughout the state each year. Jim Graham, KCEE president and CEO, said, "We are both pleased and gratified to have the Kansas Masonic Foundation as a new financial partner."
