Cinco de Mayo events today (Thursday, May 3)

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion has moved its Cinco de Mayo celebration from 11 a.m-1 p.m. today (Thursday, May 3) to 142 RSC. Enjoy fun, food and culture. Cinco de Mayo will celebrate the history and traditions of Mexican heritage. Come see the various Hispanic groups on campus. Some food items cost, cash only.

In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is commonly mistaken for Mexico's Independence Day, which is the most important national holiday in Mexico (celebrated on Sept. 16). Join Student Activities Council as we break down this notion and learn more about the true roots of Cinco de Mayo from 11 a.m-1 p.m. today (Thursday, May 3) on the first floor, RSC. Come create an educational craft and engage with cultural activities.
