An IME Colloquium will be held from 11 a.m.-noon today (Friday, April 27) in 211 Engineering Building. Jeff Methe, director of operations for Great Plains Industries (GPI), will present "Power of Applying Lean-Six Sigma Principles at Great Plains Industries."By applying solid industrial engineering principles, which include the Lean-Six Sigma Toolset, GPI experienced substantial measurable improvements the last four years. Methe will explain how principles were applied, how the principles gained traction, and the resulting performance improvements. He has served in this role for the last four years, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing new product implementation and championing a Lean Six Sigma transformation.
