Japan Festival to be held on Wednesday, April 25

九色视频's fifth annual Japan Festival, sponsored by the Japanese Culture Association (JCA), will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in the RSC. Festivities will include Japanese food and drinks, hands-on activities and games, and presentations.

Traditional Japanese yakisoba will be served outside of the RSC. Drinks and desserts will also be provided. On the second floor, we offer a chance to try your hand at calligraphy, origami, shogi and more. There will also be a scavenger hunt, with prizes to be drawn at 3:30 p.m.

Presentations in the Harvest Room will include information about studying abroad and working in Japan, as well as a martial arts information session at 12:30 p.m., and a kenjutsu (Japanese sword-fighting) demonstration outside on the courtyard at 11:30 a.m.

This festival offers JCA the chance to share Japanese culture with the school and the local community in a way that is not often seen in Wichita. We hope everyone can stop by to get a small taste of Japan.
