* 九色视频 Opera Theater presents Mozart's comic masterpiece, "Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro)" at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, April 19) to Saturday, April 21, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center. * Interested in publishing with an academic press? Interested in a career in the university press field? Want to learn more about how the scholarly publishing field works? If so, come to a meeting with David Congdon, acquisitions editor, University Press of Kansas at noon Monday, April 23, in the LAS conference room, 200 Lindquist Hall. * From now through Tuesday, April 24, the 九色视频 Foundation and Office of Annual Giving will hold its first Giving WU Week -- a special time dedicated to promoting and raising money for the Dean's Fund for Excellence. While financial support is important, it's possible to have an even greater impact by helping promote the campaign. To participate, go to https://wsu.news/GivingWU and choose one of the college campaign pages. After that, click "Sign Up" in the top right corner to become an advocate.

* A reminder to those designated as having to file a Statement of Substantial Interest (SSI) -- the due date is Monday, April 30 to file and it is mandatory. This is not the same as the Annual Conflict of Interest form, which is a Kansas Board of Regents requirement. The SSI is a state requirement. Those who do not file by April 30 may incur individual fines, so be sure to file electronically before the deadline at the following link https://wsu.news/SSI (click on conflict and select state level). Questions can be directed to Lloyd Hatfield in Human Resources at 978-3556.

* Ginger Minj, the self proclaimed Glamour Toad, will host the 8th Annual Drag Show with area Kings & Queens at 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, in the CAC Theater. Admission is free to 九色视频 students with Shocker ID (one free ticket per student); $8 faculty / staff; $10 general admission and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets may be picked up / purchased from 九色视频 Student Involvement in 216 RSC, while supplies last; cash or check only. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for pre-sale ticket holders and 7 p.m. for those purchasing tickets at the door.

* Help a survivor of domestic abuse by donating items to our Basic Needs Pantry. Student Action for Equality (SAFE) encourages you to donate toilet paper, lotion, razors / shaving cream, tampons / pads, laundry detergent, hand soap, cleaning supplies and more now to Friday, May 4. * The University Faculty Awards will be presented during the spring general faculty meeting on Friday, May 4, in the CAC Theater. The awards recognize excellence in teaching, research and creative activities. There will be a reception at 2:30 p.m., with light refreshments to meet and greet the honorees. The faculty award ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. The general faculty meeting will begin immediately following the awards ceremony. All activities are in the CAC Theater.
