IME Colloquium tomorrow (Friday, April 13)

An IME Colloquium called "Data Science and data driven decision making," will be held from 11 a.m.-noon tomorrow (Friday, April 13) in 211 Engineering Building.

You hear about AI and data science frequently in the media. But what is data science exactly? How should one learn about it? How is it applied in various industries? Ashutosh R. Nandeshwar, assistant vice president of Relationship Management and Data Sciences at the University of Southern California, will provide some answers to these questions. A co-author of "Data Science for Fundraising" and author of "Tableau Data Visualization Cookbook," Nandeshwar is one of the few analytics professionals in the higher education industry who has developed analytical solutions for all stages of the student life cycle, from recruitment to giving.
