Shift Space, the 九色视频 student gallery in Old Town at 803 E. 3rd St., has two big events planned this weekend. At 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, come to a free screening of David Lynch's bizarre masterpiece "Blue Velvet." The film is hosted by Ted Adler, assistant professor of ceramic media at 九色视频. Bring your own chair and one for a friend. Then from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, the opening reception of Amber Vanhatala Stene's MFA thesis exhibition will be held in the Shift Space Gallery. The show, titled "The Process of Elimination," features large-scale drawings on paper.
