* The Office of Admissions will hold a news conference at 11:30 a.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 11) in the Marcus Welcome Center to announce the new Gore and McGregor Scholars. Two high school seniors will be awarded the Gore Scholarship, worth $48,000 over four years to attend 九色视频.

* Faculty and staff are invited to a retirement reception in Susan Kovar's honor from 4-5:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 11) in the Marcus Welcome Center. Comments at 4:30 p.m.

* The department of human performance studies is holding its Chili Cook-off and Student Appreciation Day from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 11) in the front lobby of the Heskett Center. The cost is one can of food or a $2 donation and allows you to taste/judge all chili entries. All food and money raised will be donated to the Kansas Food Bank.

* The next televised edition of "Wichita State & The World" features a presentation by 九色视频 international management researcher Steven Farmer on "Building the Creative Worker." The show will air on Channel 13 at 7 p.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 11), Sunday, Dec. 14, and Thursday, Dec. 25.

* The School of Community Affairs, department of ethnic studies, will hold it first Black Family Forum from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 13, in 100 Lindquist Hall.
