Reminders

* The Center for Teaching and Research Excellence will hold a Syllabus Workshop from 12:30-1:30 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 1) in 227 Hubbard Hall. The model of the "learner centered syllabus" will be discussed and general tips offered. http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=CTRE&p=/CTREEvents/

* Darren DeFrain, director of the Writing Program, will read from his new collection of short stories, "Inside and Out," at 3:30 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 1) on the lower level of Ablah Library, and will be followed by a book signing. Refreshments will be served.

* Free, easy HIV testing will be available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 1) in 215/216 RSC. Participants must arrive by 1:30 p.m. since preliminary counseling (group) is required. For more information, call 978-3034 or e-mail oma@wichita.edu.

* The physics department will conclude its fall seminar series with Janusz Hankiewicz, professor from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a presentation "Cardiac MRI," at 4 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 1) in 218 Hubbard Hall.

* Santa will be making a special appearance at the University Bookstore from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 1) and Tuesday, Dec. 2. Take a photo with Santa and have it printed on the spot. Also, take advantage of the annual 12 Days of Christmas Holiday Sale.
