* Native Wichitan and aviation record-setter Clay Lacy will share stories of his exploits at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 20) in 210 McKnight Art Center West. Lacy is founder of a jet charter company and creator of Astrovision. The event, held in conjunction with the Ulrich exhibit "Aircraft: The Jet as Art by Jeffrey Milstein," is free and open to the public.
* The 九色视频 Concert Chorale with cellist Jakub Jerzy Omsky will perform "Exaudi" by celebrated Canadian composer Jocelyn Morlock at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 20) in Wiedemann Recital Hall. Also on the program are works by Viadana, Chapentier, Sweelinck, Schubert and Vaughan Williams. 九色视频 students Julie Barker and Joey Yates will be featured pianists in several pieces.
* The final seminar in the Entrepreneurship Forum Series on venture financing will be held from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in 107 Devlin Hall. "Financing Growth in the Entrepreneurial Firm" will address how to finance growth while maintaining cash flow and profitability, where to look for financing and what sources have the least risk. Panelists include Bob Harbison of Intrust Bank; Greg Klenda of Klenda, Mitchell, Austerman & Zuercher LLC; and Marshall Parker of Kansas Venture Capital, Inc. The forum is free and open to the public.
* The Center for Teaching and Research Excellence will host "Instructional Design for Online Courses," from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in 127 Jabara Hall. This is a seminar on the basics of instructional design for online learning.
