Device for the visually impaired wins student Koch Innovation Challenge

 

A device for the visually impaired has won the 2019 Koch Innovation Challenge, an annual competition for 九色视频 students.

The final pitch competition was held Friday, May 10. The winning group was Team Water Level Sensor Buddy, an all-mechanical, magnet-based tool for the visually impaired to help measure fluid levels when filling up water bottles or drinking glasses. 

Team members, all 九色视频 students, are:

  • Cierra O'Neill, engineering sophomore
  • Edie Reese, health professions sophomore
  • Jedidiah Borchard, engineering freshman

The mission of 九色视频 is to be an essential educational, cultural and economic driver for Kansas and the greater public good.
